"I've been trying to leave this company."

I've been trying to leave this company for months- after reading how poor the cover was I took alternative cover and then cancelled this - except she couldn't find any policy even though I insisted it had been taken If she had checked my address or email it would have located it immediately. Now they think I owe them $128 for effectively nothing! This one will be going to the ombudsman, thank you to the other person who posted the contact details below- I would never deal with an online only company again after this experience. I've sent details of the cover I had taken- they are only interested in taking as much money as they can from me !!?

"Waiting time on phone far too long"

I spent over an hour waiting for someone to answer my call, all to no avail. In the end I decided to use their call back option. I was contacted in about 20 minutes by a very friendly agent OS5. He managed to get me a slightly lower quote on my car insurance, which I accepted.

"Awful trying to talk to anyone even on live chat"

They must call it One Call because that's how many times you may get to chat with a human (don't expect to speak to a human once they have your money). I spent hours trying to discuss my wife's renewal - no links on contact us or live chat - when renewal documents came through online, filled in reason why thinking of leaving, pressed the continue button and it just went back a page and then refused to do anything. With over 150% increase in premium, and such utterly horrific communication - decided to not renew, but then more hours trying to let them know. Just in case stopped any further payments at the bank. NEVER AGAIN!!

"Cheap tactics to catch people off and force auto renewals"

Very difficult to cancel a policy set to auto renew, which seems to be the default anyway.You have to log on their portal, and then complete a form that only works...during working hours and forcing to chat with someone, who seems to be on a mission to requote as opposed to cancelling the policy. I also note their renewal letter seems to take a week to arrive from the date issued. They must be very unlucky with Royal Mail, or maybe it's intentional to minimise the actual time for people to cancel the renewal.If the policy is auto renewed, hefty charges to cancel, even during the cool off period.Just cheap tactics to catch people off

"I found cancelling my policy very costly"

I found cancelling my policy very expensive considering i had the insurance for 8 days. So much for a 14 day cooling off period which is as good as meaningless. I took out the insurance on the 4th of March and cancelled it on the 12th of March so in 8 days One Call and the insurance company have taken around 62% of the money I paid for 8 days cover. The time on risk being charged by the insurer is $29.43 + the $49.99 set up charge by one call means the total cost to cancel the policy is $79.42. As I have paid $127.12 this leaves me with a return premium of $47.70. All this is in their terms and conditions. What can i say about insurance companies in general. Everything online so the cost to them has reduced but the costs to theiur customers havent. Not happy with this service

"$70 premium reduction for a phone call"

I called the telephone number given as I was considering an alternative, cheaper quote for my motorcycle insuranceIt took some time to listen to the recorded message recommending me to use the online portal and suggesting I dial 1 for a calm back which I chose not to do. Another wait then my call was answered by a pleasant lady who reduced the renewal premium by $70 ish This is a deceitful and misleading policy which I dislike intently If it happens again then I will transfer my business elsewhere

"Appalling"

Appalling. Set up a policy to start a few days in advanc. Downloaded their portal to check documents. After 2 days still no document updates and instead wanted more info. Fair enough but this could have been requested days ago instead of day I needed insurance for a new motorcycle and given their warning of " not insured until I have certificate" I decided to cancel. Well with 14 days. Requested a refund via chat and I'm still waiting 4 days later. No one to actually speak to and atrocious service. Still waiting for refund. Never again

"Been with one call insurance for four."

Been with one call insurance for four years, every year the renewal went up whilst no claims were made, a quick search online and there are plenty of companies at almost $300-400 cheaper!Will not be using this company ever again.They don't even try to match the other prices

"Money scam and terrible customer service"

Beware of sneaking price increases and contract small print. I took a out a one year policy 6 years ago, have not agreed to ANYTHING since however they had gradually increased the cost by 4x the original amount not informing that they were doing this so that I had no idea. Eventually when caught on to the fact that they had been charging me a ridiculous amount all of these years (I had been mistaking it on my bank statement as something else) they made it so impossible to work out how to cancel. Upon cancelling was informed that I then had to pay nearly $100 as a cancellation free despite not having had agreed to any contract with them for 6 years. I then spoke to someone on the web chat who was extremely patronizing and rude and very distressing. Having then received multiple threatening letters about debt collectors, impact on my credit rating and the cost of the payment increasing I have paid to get the stress and anxiety out of my life. Will steer clear of any one call services in future as after rinsing me of thousands had the cheek to demand more money. Awful service and company.
