The irony of one call insurance, a company who force you to use a portal and don't allow calls! Won't ever use this company again

Just had my renewal quote it was more expensive than the competition but ET3 lowered the price it was still $40 more but went ahead an and renewed.But having gone on the review page I am concerned to see all the negative reviews from people that have had to make a claim.It seems all is well till someone has to claim then it becomes hard work!

"Two hour wait to be answered"
Insured for a year and no claims but wanted to remove auto renew. This can be done in the portal but it is locked down when in renewal period, a month before in my case. So had to resort to live chat and phone. I had both going and it took me TWO HOURS to get answered by an operator. I was still 11 in the queue on web chat. This length of wait is unacceptable for such a simple request. I didn't want to risk having the same wait at time of an accident. Not only were they expensive the backup is very poor

"Impossible to chat to anyone!"
I cannot get through to them to cancel my car renewal insurance which has increased from $370 to $722! There is no phone number and the live chat is only available Mon-Fri 5.30-8 pm and I can't get through to chat to anyone. Exasperated!Update: it's unavailable even at the short time they should be on. I've had to stop payment to them.

"AVOID OneCall Insurance."
AVOID OneCall Insurance.. Rips off on renewals..!Loyalty eaten alive :-) Had home insurance for $220 per annum including home emergency etc.. and renewal came for $632.84 (287% increase :-O ) although I have no claims for past 8 years. No reason given for the price hike and pure greediness. :-(No way to cancel online and had to wait on calls wasting time. Says will reduce to $496, but why cannot be honest on renewals. One Call Insurance is much dishonest in that way. I'm out of that and found more better quote from MBNA-Lloyds. OneCalls Policy: 07477749

"onecall insurance renewal"
When I contacted onecall insurance to talk about my renewal, it was a bit frustrating having to listen to the automated voice call and not being able to shortcut it. But as explained when I finally did get through, ET3 did say its a legal requirement, but still,in my opinion there should be options.. Anyway ET3 was quite apologetic, she also managed to reduce my premium which was a help.Only gave 4stars due to frustrating automated phone call at the start

Complete waste of a morning my 87 year old father was trying to cancel his home insurance, the number given on the correspondence is now not in action so he had to use the live chat on line with my assistance after waiting over an hour we managed to chat to a Jessica she then informs us that he had selected the wrong department (why isn't there a cancel policy drop down option) we were told via the chat that she would transfer us to the right department after another long wait we sent several more messages but had zero response . I then unfortunately had to leave leaving my father very stressed and unsure what to do next . I will never ever use One Call and urge people to think carefully before taking out a policy with this company who obviously don't want to be contacted . It's so unfair to see an elderly gentleman so worried and distressed . One call please remember elderly people need to speak F2F

So disappointed, been with one call for years but they wouldn't budge on renewal premium increase. Very unhappy to be leaving. nothing for loyalty. Oh well, on to another
