"Auto renewal cancellation failed"

Cancelled auto renewal on 23 Jan 2024 with Tyler W on one call chat as my policy was ending on 30 Jan 2024 and had got a $300 cheaper quote with Flow. Tyler advised that this was all done but that they would still charge for 1 month in Feb? Why as I cancelled before my policy ended. On top of that he didn't actually canel the auto renewal and I got multiple letters stating I owed over $200 in cancellation costs and they wouldn't pass on my No Claims Discount document. By far the worst insurers I have ever used and can't ever recommend anyone using them.

"One Call?. or Can't call!"

Not happy with One Call. Really hard to get hold of, and when we have a claim, absolutely no idea how to progress it or send any information. They have offered a tiny settlement in theory, which is being eroded to nothing by the monthly payments that we have to apparently keep up.Their online chat has so far not been helpful

"Struggled to get through to sought Car."

Struggled to get through to sought Car Policy. Phoned several times and pressed button 1 on phone to receive call back, never received one. Eventually I was able to sought it on Live Chat but had a problem with there system to pay by card. So annoying and all this takes my time. Received a call this morning (13th April) and was able to pay over the phone. Phew!! What a nightmare.

"Terrible"

Tried to change DD date as taking 1 day early before I get paid, so first payment didn't goThrough. After taking policy I did tell them and they agreed to it, they didn't do it and now they charged me $15 and the bank charged me, went onto chat and they quoted terms and conditions at me. Rubbish service cancelling and going else where .

"Beware, cheap but unhelpful if you actually want to make a claim"

I tried to make an accidental damage claim for a burned carpet which was stated as included in the complimentary AD cover, and not one of the exclusions.They refused my claim on some spurious excuse. When I tried to cancel my cover to find one that actually met my needs, they wanted to charge me a full annual amount even though I'd only been with them for 3 months

"9 years of loyalty means nothing"

I was with OneCall insurance for 9 years, I was frequently tormented with emails and mail to add house insurance and second car insurance. OneCall doubled my police (rolling one month policy) when I challenged them they confirmed they sent me a letter, I was working away from home so I didn't receive the letter. Now that I've cancelled my policy I'm emailed, text messaged and threatened with a demands to pay another months insurance, they have even threatened me with debt recovery proceedings, all within a few days of cancellation. I wouldn't recommend this company.

"Just had my renewal quote it was more."

Just had my renewal quote it was more expensive than the competition but Hm1 matched the price I had was very happy and went ahead. But having gone on the review page I am concerned to see all the negative reviews from people that have had to make a claim. It seems all is well till someone has to claim then it becomes hard work
