"Avoid for Home Insurance - Automatic Renewals over 100% hiked.."
Annual home insurance paid last year for $247 and I am being asked this year for $535 even though I have not made any claims. Seems total rip off for the renewals as totally out of competitive pricing for continuing customer. I'm simply quitting one call insurance. Policy 07477749

"Tripled premium after first year with no claims"
First year my home insurance was $277, second year they increased it to $700+ if I installed a safe (I have no cash or jewellery on the premises) or $1058 without a safe! Meanwhile I have several insurers quoting $250-300 on compare the market.

My wife sold her car and we now just use one car which is insured for both of us, on cancellation of her insurance policy with One Call of which she had six months remaining, they proceeded to charge her for almost the full twelve months, the amount saved for the remaining six months was just $10.00 We expected to pay a cancellation fee but this is scandalous.

Do not use this company. My monthly amount was increased from $16 per month to $101 per month without my agreement, it took me over an hour to try and cancel (prior to the first direct debit coming out) at which point I was advised I would be charged over $100 cancellation fee plus my next direct debit but if I cancelled the next month I would not be charged the extra cancellation fee. I asked for transcripts to be sent which I never received. Then when I tried to cancel the following month was told this had never been discussed and ended up having to pay the large cancellation fee again (which was the reason I wanted the transcript). I was advised I was not allowed to discuss this over the phone or speak to someone more senior and if I wanted to complain I had to do this prior to payment which would have meant I would have to pay the next direct debit. Every online conversation has taken over 1 hour to resolve following a lengthy wait for someone to chat with. I will not use this company again and would highly recommend you stay clear.

Received my renewal for car insurance. Was given a number to ring if I was considering moving to another provider. Spoke to Abby AP7 who gave me a quote. Sadly premium too high. Abby was friendly and answered my questions. 4 stars as new premium too high.
