Avoid! They are terrible to get hold of by chat or by phone - you lose a morning of your life everytime you want to contact them ... goodness knows how I'd go on if I needed to claim!I'm on auto-renew and it can't be changed through the portal - so I need to speak to a human to be able to cancel my policy at renewal ... especially as they take the money from your chosen payment option 5 days in advance of the policy renewing.I have been quoted $80 more by another company, but I'm moving as the customer service is shocking at One Call. Have a real good think before using One Call peeps!!!

"Excellent broker aside from the call waiting time."
I have used One Call for several years and the outcome has always been excellent. Their online portal is very good and when needed their customer service personnel are extremely efficient and very helpful. The problem is getting through. There was an hour+ wait for the phone to be answered and that was after two failed attempts to get a call back. Online chat is only available for a few hours each day. Worth both trying and persevering at renewal as the offer was much better.

My Home insurance was due for renewal, but One Call stated that they needed more information, this was given, but still no renewal, just another email asking to call them to give yet more information, this happened a further time, after each time we were advised that the quote would take 48Hrs to come through, This did not happen and again we had to call them (if you have tried this you will know it is not easy) we were eventually given a renewal, this was treble what we paid the previous year, we asked for a quote from our original company but was advised that we could only have this one..... I Got onto them again the following day to cancel and was then told that I could have insurance with another company at half the price....Do not trust them.

Although I do have insurance with this company, I thought I would give them a try for other policies.First thing is you and me seemingly actually cannot speak with an individual as in verbally. We can type stuff into their live chat thing and communicate with someone goodness knows where.Using their live chat even though I was number 1 in the queue I still kept being reminded I was number 1 in the queue. After 32 minutes I gave up.I'm going to cancel my current insurance and pay it to someone I can actually speak with.One call and all insurance companies are not needed unless we are forced by legislation to by a product. All of the parasitic insurance companies will happily and easily take your money. Things change however when you need help and need them.In the main and to be honest I have zero confidence that if I needed the company "one call" they would do nothing more than argue and tell me what I've not done.Update I actually got challenged by one call insurance to validate my comments. I submitted my information to Trustpilot and heard nothing from onecall,,,, all mouth and no trousers.

Auto-renewed after being with them for 3 years, I had moved home and didnt get the renewal email. Called once payment was taken and the agent I spoke to was abrupt, rude, unhelpful and could not explain any of the hidden fees to me. The maths for pro-rata rate doesnt work out either its a huge scam. Even if with them for years they dont care. The agent I spoke to needs to find another profession.

Wouldn't even give 1 star if possible.Rude customer service always on multiple occasions. Portal isn't open 24/7 as stated. Nobody to contact outside of 'opening hours'. Absolute shambles of a company. BEWARE!
