"Best Buy Rips Off Customers"

I wish I could give negative stars. I purchased a printer for my business, but when I placed the order, the shipping address did not register and defaulted to my billing address, which is a PO Box. I immediately (less than one minute after placing the order) contacted customer support and told them about the problem. The customer service rep told me he entered the correct address on the order. He lied. I never received the printer, especially since my post office box is 3" x 4", was never notified by the post office where the printer was, so I did not ever receive it or take possession of it (easy to confirm since I never signed for the package, nor was it scanned in as picked up). Best Buy customer service told me that the printer was at the post office and they were requesting a return. They lied again. They are now telling me that I somehow have a Canon printer sitting in my 3" x 4" post office box and I have to pay for it. The told me they "checked" their warehouse and the printer was never returned. They are intending to rip me off for an item I never received, never took possession of, and was, in fact, impossible to be listed as delivered. They are refusing to even request a search for the package by the post office, insisting again, that somehow the printer was stuffed into my post office box and I received it. This has been going on since Christmas. They are not worthy of anyone's business.

"PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE NOT HONORED"

PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE NOT HONORED. They told me they were escalating my guarantee request id number F14594690, on 2/19/24, but as of 2/25 nothing had been done. I only found out about this when I saw a lower price and wanted my additional discount. So I was told by Supervisor Bryon 50 minutes into my customer service call that he would have to cancel the previous escalation and escalate it again case id # 330618980. At the end of the call, he said he would let the first escalation stand and create a new escalation to be worked on in their dispatch department.

"Once in a while as a customer you're made to feel appreciated by quality employees."

I already knew what I was shopping for. While looking for the product one of the employees introduced himself and asked if I needed anything. I told him what I was looking for and he directed me to its location. He was very knowledgeable on the products and struck up a cordial conversation about our now shared interest without being pushy or attempting to upsell me something I didn't want. He simply made sure I knew all I could about my purchase and made my experience more pleasant by making me feel taken care of insteadof disregarded. Good customer service is hard to come by now a days so I must say it was a nice experience.

"Buyer Beware- Double Charging on Total Tech Packages annually"

I've been a client for many years with Best Buy . I bought into their Total Tech annual package of $200.30 which covers all appliances and Computers bought at their facilities should anything go wrong with those items. Unbeknownest to me they have been double billing me on my AMEX Card every January and November. This past November I noticed that they had double billed me so I called their billing department . The Rep I spoke with told me they were able to see that since 2020 this had bbeen going on. They said they woyuld issue a credit of $639.97 to make up for this error . So This month they credited me $194.99 and not the amount we discussed . I was told to go to my credit card company to put a complaint through . The prblem is the credit card company will only go back 60 days . BEST BUY IS A FRAUD !! Consumer Affairs in Massachusettes is my next avenue, along with a note to the Attorney General . Beware of all companies billing you monthly because they are gettting away with clients who don't inspect their cards 100% every month.

"After spending $2000.00 to buy a phone"

After spending $2000.00 to buy a phone, the so-called customer service wanted to charge me $40 to help set it up. Whatever happened to customer service ? It used to be that employees would do whatever it takes to help. Best Buy - you have lost a customer

"Best Buy If I could give a zero star I would"

If I could give a zero star I would. I purchased a new Samsung s23 as a gift for my wife. I was trading a perfectly fine unlocked S20 towards the purchase. It was agreed that upon receiving my S20 they would credit my account approximately $65.00. Ok that is a pretty cowbell number but I figured what the heck. After the new phone arrived I checked.my emails for directions on how to submit my trade. There were none..I figured they might send a shipping box so I waited a day or two..when nothing arrived I contacted best buy. It was only then that they sent me an email with a shipping label. I immediately went to UPS and shipped the phone. After making another purchase I noticed my account stated that my trade on the phone had been canceled due to it being received late. I confirmed that my trade in had been received by them within a day of the canceling the phone. I tried to reason with customer service but they kept telling me I had to go to the store over a half an hour away. So... Basically Best buy stole my Sansing S20 and even though they are the ones that screwed up they refuse to resolve the issue. They just lost a good longtime customer. Worst customer service ever.

"DEFECTIVE CELLPHONE, NO BEST BUY GEEK SQUAD SOLUTION, BUY INSURANCE"

You buy the cellphone with them and they don't have a technician nor a piece to fix your problem, not even a store close to me. Horrible store to buy a cellphone! Go to other places or buy insurance to not have a problem in your hands, it's not worthy buy cellphone at Best Buy, carrier is more trustworthy.

"Felt threatened"

I went on here to see if my recent experience with Best Buy's customer service was a one off. I haven't read one as troubling as mine. I haven't seen bullying of an elderly customer on here, but it seems there are plenty of other sad experiences. So here's mine to add. I have been a good Best Buy customer for years in many places in Canada and the US. Our family, which includes adult children with their own families, have bought Apple electronics, laptops, iPads, phones, various TVs, cameras over the last 14 years we have lived here in this small rural city. True, customer service has been hit and miss, but it's been good to have a local store. Customer service has been polite if not always expert; we were okay with that, I ran a microcomputer/university bookstore back in the day when personal computers and electronics were becoming popular, it's a tricky business with electronics. But this past week, when I went in with a problem with my FitBit, purchased in early December, I was treated with such disdain and an attitude of "you're wasting my time" that I literally was in tears as I left the store. I am a 71 year old white haired female (not that that should matter, this is a retirement city) and was in retail management, trained customer service staff, for years. I couldn't believe how this person--who said he was the manager--treated me. After telling me I had missed the return date for a watch that stopped working five days after the "extended Christmas" returns period ended and that I was the ONLY person who'd ever had problems with FitBits. I had asked about FitBit reliability as I've twice had problems with the FitBits I bought at Best Buy last year; I wondered if FitBits were still a good product. The way he spoke to me so sarcastically, I said that I felt he was belittling me for asking my questions and he then said I was disrespecting HIM for not telling him what I wanted; the implication was I was wasting his time coming in to the customer service desk. I wanted kind advice please and thank you and he replied, well what do you actually WANT. At that point I just wanted to leave and never return I felt so embarrassed. As I left the store in tears he yelled after me "I was just on the point of offering you a store credit before you took off". So what was I supposed to do at that point, creep back into the store with everyone looking at me as if his treatment didn't matter as long as I got a credit? At that point it wasn't the credit I was after, it was politeness/kindness. I stopped to talk to a couple entering, who said I should report it to HO and he came around from his desk and started after me. I fled to my car thinking he was going to yell at me or worse maybe take my name down and ban me from the store. I think he would have pursued me but with the couple watching, he stopped. (This is all my perception, I realize he has his own perception.) Still crying, I called Best Buy's HO and someone in a call center kept telling me "Oh, your voice is so young, are you sure you are 71? Oh I understand how you feel and your call will certainly be logged, you shouldn't have been treated that way. We will certainly look into the matter but ma'am you should contact the manufacturer about your FitBit (yes, at this point I know that.)" I have trained people on customer service in the past, when I mentioned the words that I felt scared of this man, she should actually have referred me to someone more senior. I will never return to that store because I literally worry he will recognize me and I will once again be publicly embarrassed by him. I am so frightened, I actually worry about publishing this too. Will I be punished by Best Buy for repeating this incident? But I feel the story should be told, perhaps there are other customers who have felt similarly threatened for doing no more wrong than asking about products that stop working within a week of the return period ending. Thinking about the alternatives to purchasing more electronics, TVs, etc., I will wait a week to 10 days to see if I get any response to my HO complaint in the form of an apology and reassurance that the manager has been counseled about his behavior.
