"Overall good experience"

The whole process was streamlined and performed without much chaos. But there needs to be an ATM inside the premises because apparently I cannot pay by UPI or Debit Card and it is a hassle to go out and withdraw cash. Overall the Executives were helpful and

"Great Experience"

Great Experience The application and document verification services at Pondicherry Centre are fast and efficient.There is a friendly and helpful attitude among the staff.The Centre does not have a waiting area outside of the building. We would appreciate if you would take into consideration the fact that many people (elderly and children) were standing outside on this hot summer day.

"Had it not been for that one goof up."

Had it not been for that one goof up for which I had to wait for 2 hours the experience was seamless. The staff is very well trained and efficient. Special mention for Bharat who was attending us and helped us complete our submission. He was very helpful. So the goof up was the security at the front counter on the 2 nd floor handed me with a walk in token , when I already had an appointment which lead to a 2 hour wait.

"Attitude"

The person whom we worked with was very unfriendly. There was not even a good morning courtesy. Maybe Indians are taken for granted by Indians. Because the next person behind me , seemed to be an American, in the line to go to the same attendant was greeted with a big smile and a good morning and lots of laughs while we were treated like kids at school - lots of scowling and looked down . I am a project manager and am used to people behaving like that probably because I do not dress up or wear make up. I am confident in who I am and could have put him in place but I chose not to make a scene . I just expect that he reads this and treats the next person right.

"I didn't get to the window even after.one hour."

I didn't get to the window even after more than an hour of my appointment scheduled time. I needed to ASK an associate if they can take my papers since I came from Boston and needed to catch a train back. Which they did (thanks a lot!). I did online photo service but didn't receive any confirmation so needed to make a photo again. This was probably the worst Schengen visa experience I had since I started to travel to Europe back in 2006.

"Guidelines of Juniors attendance was not clear"

during my submission of my application it was not clearly stated that my son has to attend in person especially that his application was done using my data and it was not clear that he had to attend so he went to school and we had to get him out of school to come to the VFS and this was not welcomed by the school

"Premium lounge service experience"

Premium lounge service experience. I had opted for general services. When I asked where should I go, I was referred to the Premium Lounge, the first time, I said I want regular service and not premium, but I was literally pressurized by the staff to take Premium services, saying that there is a long queue in general. But I had to wait for nearly 3 hours after paying the charges for premium services. In general, my name was number less than 10 and it could have gone done much earlier, but in premium my number was more than 30. Please don't pressurize or force the customers for premium services if they are not interested and if you are not able to provide faster services. Premium services does not mean you give them free coffee or cold drinks or free photography and printing. I was waiting for such a long time, but when my number was called, the staff was like why have you come so late. He also could not take the print out of receipt as he told server is down in this system and for the receipt, I had to wait for one more hour. Why force for premium if you are not able to provide premium services? So finally, I had to wait for longer times, even after paying extra money. I hope the VFS takes it as a constructive review and improve on their short-comings.This is my fifth time with VFS. Other times, it went very smooth, the staff were courteous and polite, even earlier I had waited for sometime. This time it was not a good experience. Please do take care in future not to force anyone and provide better services for the charges paid.
