"Not worth the money we pay for..."

Applying for visa was ok but tracking the application and getting information from VFS chennai office is headache process.

please do not ship with Aramex anymore. It is now more than a meek and still not get my passport. It is unfortunate , a local delivery of this important takes more than a week.

I'm working for A-Rosa river cruise it's been now five years I have been working for this company and my German Visa never got rejected every year.This year on 18 January I had my visa and I was waiting my passport to come for my joining and when it's been more than a 2 months passed I sent a email to VFS and that time sent me email back saying that they wants a new joining date this is not done bcoz I already had a joining date on the application and contract letter bcoz of ur negligence I didn't get a visa I paid a lot of money for visa I took a premium pack I didn't get a good service now my visa got rejected and I'm jobless now just bcoz of u people I have a family to feed now I don't have any option no job no money just bcoz of u people I feel like cheated wasting lots of my money for the Visa process very bad experience

"Good but can be better"

we had chosen the wrong visa category ( Schengen type C) but we thank the staff who sent us to the premium lounge and not fix a new date. However, some things can get better:1. I used a yahoo email in my visa application form, but all emails are coming to my gmail address. Its not clear why. I did get one email to my yahoo email once before the appointment , but the other emails are coming here and I was not aware why. 2. The website should give clarity that Type C and tourist are different visas. The Swiss embassy site ( and many others say that you should apply for a short stay up to 90 day visa for tourism, and so people may choose Type C)3. 3 photos are required but the website had said 2 photos. 4. We were not told that a latest bank statement is needed- the documentation checklist said last 3 months bank statement, not LATEST statement.

"Absolute joke"

The website is a joke, takes you through the process and then crashes half way through an application. You try to book an appointment and it crashes doesn't let you do that either and when you physically go in be prepared to wait for over 2 hours until your token number is called.

The process took a long time because it was very crowded but the operation was very smooth and disciplined.

"Horrible experience"

The wait times are terrible, and the NY location is absolutely unequipped to handle the amount of appointments they schedule for a given day. My appointment was at 11.30 AM, and I wasn't done until 2 PM. Also, the list of documents on the site is incomplete - a cover letter detailing the trip is required when applying for a visa, which is not mentioned on the VFS Global website at all. In this day and age, to have such abysmal service considering how much we pay for this is really disappointing.
