As usual I asked for an invoice for the payment you took and was told it would be on my portal in half an hour. This after 45 mins waiting on your web chat thing (hopeless)24 hours later it's still not on there, same thing last year took best part of a week to get a simple document

"Renewal help"

Spoke to Jake (username JI9), very helpful, listened to what i had to say and was able to come up with exactly what i was after for my renewal on my motor insurance so i was happy to stay with the same company, saved me time shopping around for a better deal. Would recommend One Call.

"WARNING ! Rogue insurance scam onecall"

This company is nothing more than a legal scam, exploiting their customers with tenuous complications in their regulatory regime. Please for your own sake avoid these dubious back street dodgy dealers..THERE IS A REASON THEY CHOOSE TO BE A ONE CALL ONLY INSURANCE COMPANY. ITS SO YOU CANT CONTACT THEM WHEN YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN.

"Watch out for Auto Renew Trap and Period before your policy renewal."

Given contact number on renewal of 01302 568208 to speak to someone about cancelling my home insurance policy and this number does not exist, so they say I have to use Live Chat which kept crashing on me. As I had not realised the policy had gone into the "Renewal Phase I can not change from auto renew to opt out. My policy renews on 12th April and it is the 20th March. No reminder emails about policy being due for renewal, so now I am stuck trying to get hold of them to cancel and Live Chat had loaded up, and I was going to be 7th in the Queue but now it is a blank chat screen. More time wasted.

"I wish I'd never heard of them"

I wish I'd never heard of them - trying to stop an auto renewal but they say you can't do it in the 21 day period before the renewal date OK but I'm not in that period - try to chat to an agent in working hours - no they can't do that either - I hate them because they tried to cheat me when they came up as lowest quote about 11 months ago God knows what they'd be like if I'd actually need to claim

"Beware and dont auto renew policy."

I am currently attempting to cancel my policy as it is more expensive than those offered by competitors. I have made multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach customer service through the dedicated phone line and live chat, as no representatives are available to assist me in canceling the upcoming policy. I have been trying since Friday without success, and have continued my efforts today since 9am, now reaching 3pm. I have exhausted all possible avenues for cancellation.

"Miss sold comprehensive insurance that doesn't cover theft!"

I will never use this company again! I selected them on Money Supermarket for a Comprehensive motor insurance which appeared to provide more cover than competitors, but before it would progress further it wanted a $55 deposit. After that, it then started offering all sorts of extra cost upgrades to the different aspects of the policy, because the level of standard cover on each aspect was in fact minimal. Then when I got the actual cover documents I found there was an exclusion that theft or vandalism is not covered unless there is a tracker fitted (how many cars have that?!). So it wasn't comprehensive cover at all! When I phoned and said I wanted to cancel it I was told I would lose $49.99 of my deposit as a service fee. I said that I was not happy as the policy was miss sold, to which the agent agreed, but said he could do nothing but would get a manager to phone me to discus. Four days later I have had no call and they have quietly slipped a refund of just $5 into my bank account. Appalling! What would happen if I hadn't read the small print carefully and the car was stolen?UPDATE - To be fair to One Call's dispute resolution dept, it transpires that they had made several attempts to call me which I missed. They have now refunded the $49.99 charge. So, changing my rating from one star to two.
