"Why the great 4 star ratings???"

4.2 Trustpilot stars? Wow! This must be a great company. Except it's not.I wanted to check if I made a small claim re some damage that it would affect my renewal premium. Of course the answer was yes. Fair enough but then I decided to see what my renewal premium would be.You see, typical of the nightmare world of 2024 the only way to see OneCall's renewal premium was to LOG IN TO THE PORTAL. No old-fashioned emails or letters in the post. So I logged in.Last year my annual premium was about $316. This year, with no claims at all ever, it was...$1348! This OVER FOUR TIMES AS MUCH! And what's more, it was set to auto-renew so that I would have peace of mind that my cover was continuous. Lovely! The money would have quietly been taken from my credit card.On top of all this their service is shocking. Very difficult to speak to a human being and it was all about online chatting, which actually was down at the time.

"They doubled their car insurance"

They doubled their car insurance live chat can never be reached. This insurance company is terribly annoying. His exit was charged as much as if I paid 4 months' commission. I don't even know how to ask for money to cancel a contract! One Call Insurance do you also pay for it if you buy something and leave the store?! Do you have to pay to breathe?

"Do not use this company"

Do not use this company , I have an ongoing claim which has not been settled since Sept 2023.One call cannot be bothered to contact me despite persistent requests. They don't care about you , the victim and do not satisfy their obligations under the ombudsman .Once again an online company who hide their contact details from you to ensure you cannot easily talk to them and you certainly can't easily resolve your issues. ONE CALL YOU ARE IN BREACH OF REGULATIONS AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED AS TO HOW YOU'VE IGNORED ME!!!

"Trying to used the chat bot was a pain."

Trying to used the chat bot was a pain and trying to find a contact number was , they do not want to talk to you.After I found a number I used the phone back service then it all started to work Leanne was very good and solved my problem.More Humans please.

"I've taken out a policy a few months."

I've taken out a policy a few months ago and paid up front for the years coverage. Twice a month each month I get threatening messages saying they are cancelling my policy. Each time I take valuable time out of my day to consult with them only to be told it's automatic and to do with the underwriter. You can't speak to a human only a lifeless chat bot and since getting extremely frustwith them wasting my time doing their administrative work I put in a google complaint. And if by magic I got a phone call from a human asking me to amend my review in as he will provide me with a customer service number and resolve the aggravating threat messages. To this date it's still not resolved and I'm at my wits end with this endless cycle. I'm at the point I want to take a further loss and cancel the policy and go with a company that can manage my insurance needs.

"Hard to talk to"

I keep asking for a hard copy of my insurance for my housing association as I borrow a neighbour computer so don't have a printer - not all of us can afford it. I have asked 3 times and hope that this will be done now You can't talk to a human on the phone as they only deal with claim and redirect you to their portal - which I have ticked I want documents by post but to no avail. I like to be able to physically talk to someone on the phone not live chat!!!! So won't be doing anymore business for my car or anything else

"Great company"

wife has had insurance with One Call since 2021 where a Platinum Club policy was taken out which was fixed for 3 years so with the current climate and hearing horror stories of the increases people are facing I was not really surprised when her renewal came in.Trawled internet for prices , phoned One Call (they called me back) and didn't quite match the best price I saw but more than happy to give them my business again.Would have been 5 stars if the price was matched.
