"Book in reasonable condition......The inside of the book i ordered was in."

The inside of the book i ordered was in good condition, but the outside cover surrounding the book was a bit worn.Their website is good value for the books, as i only read them once and then sell/pass on. Books can be double the price on other websites. I did find the same thing from another recent order a few weeks ago. But i would order again of this company, for the price and delivery seems to be quick too.

Very quick service, items well packed.Most books in excellent condition but I have had a couple that have been 'grubby', even though their rating was 'very good' in the description. But you do get the option to return them if you are not happy.

I have bought a book here before with no issue however I bought a few for my kids this time and 2 out of 4 were unsatisfactory. One of them was a look and find book and the previous owner had circled and wrote on all the pages which although pre loved was not expected and another of the books was very grubby.

Books great value and great condition .However I did accidentally put through a duplicate order and when I realised a few hours later emailed to cancel one order .Unfortunately i still received two sets of books .

"Not a happy customer"

I have always highly WoB and used this company for quite a few years, but this time I was very disappointed. I paid quite a lot for a second hand book because I really wanted a particular newer edition- even though it stated the book's condition was well used. When it arrived, it was an older edition that I could've paid half the price for on EBay. Also the book wasn't the same listed as it was not well used but as new- yes, better to have a better condition of book- but it was clearly not the book I had paid for after reading description. I contacted WoB and they just gave me some reply about not guaranteeing it matches the photo- fine, but it didn't match the description either so was not the same book. They said they'd refund if I sent back but at my cost, so what's the point, why should I lose out for their mistake. Even more frustrating was 2 as new copies were up listed the very next day anyway at around the same price I paid. All details of the ean number etc disappear once bought too, so couldn't even check and refer to that. Will not be using WoB again.

"I purchased this book in January"

I purchased this book in January. After it not arriving and many messages back and forth with WOB, my money was refunded and purchase cancelled. I then just reordered the same book. Seemed like an unnecessary waste of everyone's time.

"I'll try again!"

I would usually rate World of Books as 5 stars as my previous purchases have gone faultlessly. This time I ordered 4 books and only 3 arrived. As one was free anyway I was not out of pocketand therefore thought I'd just try to get in touch and explain the situation and if I couldn't I'd order it again.I found the robot rather difficult to cope with and spent ages trying other means of contact to no avail. I will certainly use World of Books in the future and put my failure down to my own lack of expertise - I am 82 and a novice in the world of IT.

The books ordered are in very good condition, almost as new. This would have been a 5 star review but for the packaging being split along the top. This was caused by the packaging not being quite big enough for the 4 books supplied. Nevertheless I will order again from WOB in future.

"Sold books in very bad condition"

Some of the books I ordered were in good condition, others were revolting. One children's book had an unknown brown substance and gum stuck to it. The drawing practice book I ordered had been drawn in on every page! I was stunned that they sold these as books in very good condition. I wouldn't have given away books in that condition.

My order did not arrive. I messaged the company who assured me that my order had now been dispatched.No book has still not arrived.Extremely bpoir service
