I am still awaiting the arrival of my book, 'The other side of the street' it says you dispatched it, I've contacted the P.O. they say that although it is over the due date, they still have time to get it to me if they have it. They do not have any backlog so they would not have sent me that message, I'm unsure when or if I will receive it. It was bought for a friend gift, and I need it before 21/04/24

"not as good as they used to be"
I have used Wob for a while and had no problems until recently. My order previous to this was incorrect books. In this order I received a book which was not in good condition at all, it looked as if it had been dropped in the bath.

I know the books are second hand but I was very disappointed when I went through the book to find a lot of scribbles,as it was a how to draw book my grandson found this off putting

I ordered a book and received a DVD. Unwanted. I asked for order details so I could dispute. The order confirmation email and pdf sent from WOB had no details whatsoever. I won't order from them again.

"Not happy with no response to missing order query"
I ordered 4 copies of a book. Then told 2 were damaged and received a credit before I could respond. Then only one of remaining two arrived. After four attempts to find out where remaining book is, I have not received a response. Not happy!

Sadly, the envelope arrived empty with no book inside and a Royal Mail note saying it may have been damaged in transit.First time this has happened with Wob, to be fair.

"Heavy underlining"
The book Simone Weil: Oppression and Liberty, listed as 'Condition: good' had the first chapter and occasionally later was heavily underlined in ball-point with marginal comments. This made the book barely readable. The date of the order given below is approximate.It's a classic book I had previously a copy from the library.

"Where is my order?"
Ordered 26th March. It's now the end of 16th April. One of the 4 books has been delivered, despite them all showing as shipped on the same day (27th March). Wob's records also show only 1 having been delivered. They're not new (Wob states these can take longer). I have requested an update (have they actually been posted?) and heard nothing. One of these books was needed for instrument lessons last weekend, which I will now need to source elsewhere as we can't be without it for another lesson.The bot and customer service email address are both equally pointless. I've ordered countless times from World of Books/ Wob, and sadly problems with condition and orders are becoming more frequent. I could tolerate this if I could contact a human to resolve it, but it's a nightmare, and this may well be my last order.

I was disappointed with my purchase as it was described as being in very good condition but upon delivery I found the book was marked and even drawn on in certain places. I would not categorise this as 'very good'

"Only half of my order has been delivered"
Only half of my order has been delivered....2 books out of 4 ordered. Have contacted WOB who did not seem to check on date order was dispatched as asked me to wait on 'delivery window' which had already passed!! Still awaiting reply from my 2nd email sent 5 days ago.
