"Poor service / book care."

48 hours turned into 96 before my hard back book was despatched. It arrived in just a plastic bag with no protection, tho supposedly "very good" one corner was buckled and the spine split. Try and email customer services and it is impossible to have a conversation. A difference person replies each time.This was my first problem in several years as a customer.

Two of the four books haven't turned up several weeks later. Not much use when I ordered for a specific event.The bot was unhelpful and has not resolved the issue, just tells me to wait.The two books that have arrived are in good condition and came quickly. They are not the two books that the bot tells me have arrived though!

Very happy wth the speedy service. But I purchased a book that was in very good condition - when it arrived the book was dirty with marks over.

I received a very dirty and tatty book and I note that the original price was carefully covered with a new sticker. What drives me nuts about this company though, is its constant flooding of YouTube with its incredibly annoying advertisement, performed in a very irritating and patronising voice. It's almost as bad as "Googles4U"!!

"Brilliant Cheap Books"

My books came extremely quickly after ordering. I ordered othello, oranges are not the only fruits, we were villains and the invisible life of Addie Larue I'm very good condition. Othello, Oranges and If we were villains were like brand new, they look and smell as though they were just bought brand new from bookshop, however Addie Larue does have significant water marking and slight ware and rare making it look good rather than in very good condition.

Only 2 out of 5 books have turned up and the team at world of books have been no help at all in getting this sorted out.

"A treasure trove of titles and authors"

A treasure trove and excellent website for searching titles/authors. I purchased two that I'd been unable to find locally: a hardback and paperback; the hardback in "good condition", the paperback "well used." I'm pleased with appearance of the hardback, but the paperback is tatty. In future I will purchase books described as "in good condition".

"Poor communication"

I'm giving this review because of the lack of communication after purchasing. My order didn't link to my email for some reason. Then when I went to track my books, it only gave me one tracking number despite the multiple shipments. Only one of my books arrived within the maximum time window, two were late, and one still has yet to arrive 6 weeks after ordering.

I have only received 2 of the 3 books ordered. I have no idea if the other book is on the way, as the delivery notes say the order may come separately out would be nice to know it will eventually arrive.
