"would not recommend this garage at all"

Recently, I had to replace all four tires on my car at Kwikfit Guildford because two of the front tires had severe cracks, despite the relatively low mileage and good tread depth. This was due to Kwikfit Guildford previously fitting my car with very old tires, with the front ones being over two years old. This time I specifically requested new tires during the replacement, and was assured by the staff that the manufacturing date was in the second half of 2023. However, upon requesting the dates to be added to the invoice, it became apparent that they had fitted tires that were a year old, not just a few months as claimed. They gave false info last time and that is why I had to spent more that $1100 to replace all 4 tyres on my 911. this was unnecessary. U was not happy to receive info which was not true. It was a safety hazard to fit old dated tires on a performance car, and if my garage did not point out the safety risks, which they noticed during the service of the vehicle, it could have resulted in potentially dangerous driving conditions. I have lost my trust to this company 100% Additionally, the workmanship was subpar, as they left sticky residue from the old balance weights on the wheels, leaving them messy in appearance. Overall, this experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this garage to others.

"Shabby Service/Online Booking System Does Not Work"

Booked/paid for a tyre fitting on 1st March for fitting on 4th March.Called customer service to see where they were on the day of fitting to be told that the online booking had not transferred through to their system even though it had been paid for. Next available fitment date, 3 days later. I need my car, so requested refund and will go elsewhere.Shabby service, and lost the business from our fleet going forward.

"Four Lane Ends Newcastle provide very good service despite challenges with in-house tec."

Four Lane Ends Newcastle: Excellent service, and ensuring the best job despite challenges with in-house tec. Dropped my car off for an MOT, which failed on the brakes. A lot of work needed to be done - calipers, brake discs and brake pads - which was expensive because of the parts, but was really professionally done. The engineers also found an intermittent electrical fault affecting the dashboard warning lights. Kwikfit dont really deal with electricals, but they checked things out with the Volkswagen main dealership, and because the cost of potentially going there was very high, got an independent electrician to have a look at the car and provide an estimate for the work which was much lower. They are having some problems with their computer systems at the moment - affecting communication and payment. This doesnt affect the work, and they tried above and beyond to help. A very good job done.

"KWIK FIT POLICY YOU SHOULD KNOW BUT THEY DONT TELL YOU UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE"

I booked my car in for an oil and filter change at Kwik Fit Lisburn. My amber engine management light had come on a few days before and I asked my mechanic to have a look at the car. After putting the car on the diagnostics machine he recommended a) The oil to be changed as it was a little gloopy and a new filter and b) A sensor in the exhaust was faulty and needed replaced as it was causing the car to stall every now and again and it was the reason the engine management light was on. My mechanic was happy to do both jobs for me and advised neither were extremely urgent but I had to wait two weeks for him. Due to the fact that he had mentioned the oil and the filter I preferred to get that part completed asap and Kwik Fit had an immediate slot available so I grabbed it. I booked online which meant paying in full the day before and I called Lisburn before paying to make absolutely sure they would have the filter in stock as it meant closing my business for the time it took to complete the job. Everything was agreed and I attended the appointment ahead of time with my 3 year old son. On arrival I met with the manager who I knew straight away didn't really want me to be there based on his horrible attitude. I attempted to lighten the mood by entering into conversation about the car and how busy mechanics were these days but his mood did not change. I expressed how happy I was that I could get an appointment at such short notice and I mentioned how relieved I would be to get one of the two jobs I needed completed so quickly. I went on to explain what my mechanic had advised and he took great pleasure in immediately refusing to touch my car based on "Kwik Fit policy." This policy, that still remains a mystery to me, states that if your car has an engine fault they cannot work on your car at all. I asked for a copy of the policy to be told it "isn't written down anywhere." I said I would sign a disclaimer which I was told wasn't an option. I explained about the sensor being the reason for the engine management light being on but that explanation wasn't accepted. Long story short after the manager basically abused me for thirty minutes he then threw me out of his garage and I was stuck in Lisburn without the money I had paid to Kwik Fit and no repair. I contacted customer services who did seem to be taking me seriously at first but then just referred me to an area manager who said he was fully aware of the Lisburn managers poor communication skills and inability to deal with customers but he was correct to not fix the car. In the meantime I had called all ten Kwik Fits in Northern Ireland and explained that my engine management light was on, my car was stalling and my oil and filter needed changed and seven of the ten were happy to book me in straight away as it seems they are also completely unaware of this "policy." I asked the area manager for a copy of the policy but he could not produce it either. I told the area manager that seven of the ten branches would complete the repair and he didn't seem too concerned. I explained that when booking online there are no questions asked about issues with your car but this was brushed aside. In a nutshell I will never ever ever go back to Kwik fit for anything and I wont be recommending anyone ever does either.

At the '11th hour' on a Sunday afternoon Matteo helped us at no charge at all. His consideration and professionalism meant the spare was repaired long enough to get us home to our 14 year old son, he had been left home alone.We are beyond grateful.Excellent care.

"Amazing service tonight at Kwik Fit."

Amazing service tonight at Kwik Fit Torquay! Came in at 5 for a tire puncture, was out in less than half an hour, the employees were so kind and helpful and gave us a great deal. Will deffo be going back in the future!
