"Overall, not bad"

Overall, a pretty good experience. It took a while for the handler to understand my location because Google Maps is not very accurate, especially in remote locations. What3Words would be better. The estimated call out time seemed quite long but actually was quicker in reality. It was good of the local Recovery driver to call me 30 mins before arriving.One frustrating thing, which may be the case for all breakdown services, is your garage may be shut out of hours and there's nowhere to leave your car nearby. If you take the option to be taken home you cannot then call them again. So in effect, if your car doesn't start up again, you are stuck. And if you are unfamiliar with the area then where do you go? It would be good if EA had a list of approved garages where your vehicle can be taken and left nearby, especially out of hours. So a tip: make sure you use a garage where you can leave your car out of hours.

Very efficient. Made a bit of a nightmare a lot more manageable. Never had to wait to long for assistance. Yes really good.

Avoid emergency assist. Had a flat tyre but had a space saver tyre in the boot. On arrival, the breakdown company they used, noticed that the space saver was also flat. Emergency assist told the company that had come out to leave me because of this, even though the man would be able to take me to the garage and had told them this. Luckily the man ignored emergency assists directions and was kind enough to take me and my car to the nearest garage. Not the first time I have had issues with emergency assist and they try to get out of their obligations. Will not be renewing with them.

Guy on the phone was rude and unhelpful. The breakdown turned up lovely enough but very few tools and no replacement batteries (standard with RAC and others) . Very odd for breakdown recovery. They got the hump as she was parallel parked and asked to have access to front or rear of vehicle ( bit difficult when the reason we called you was because the car was broken down !! ) apparently only 1 call out per year on policy which means I've now had to take another policy with RAC as she can't use this one again. Total waste of money and sadly I insured my whole family with them

Dreadful service. I was left stranded on the side of the A1 for over 2 hours waiting to be recovered. No barriers on the A1 in the dark and I wasn't classed as a priority, even after the highways agency requested that I was a priority. I couldn't be recovered back to a garage near home as I was outside of 50mile radius and I had to make my own phone calls to a garages in an area I did not know to see if they would take a recovery vehicle. In a tense & frightening situation asking the car driver to ring round garages to see if they would accept a recovery and 4:30 in an afternoon I deem as unacceptable. I was finally recovered after 6:30 pm.I won't be using this service again. The chap who recovered me was fantastic, just the overall service was no where near up to scratch!! Be careful what you sign up for, it isn't always what you get.

I am a 68+ woman alone and was left on the side of the motorway for 2hrs. They were going to take me further away from home snd leave me and my car outside a tyre company in Birmingham city at night. I was freezing cold . My son found someone who could take me and my car home. I had to pay $200 for that. Then the breakdown company charged me $98 for cancelling them. I will not be using them in the future.
