On Monday 3/4 I contacted Consumer Cellular by phone around noon to start service. I was leaving Verizon after 24 years of being an excellent customer with awesome customer service anytime I called them. The problem was I could never get a lower rate. I called them before cancelling and several people begged me and my family to stay. Many offers followed but not a great rate. I spoke to Consumer Cellular and took about 45 minutes to set up the account and answer all their questions. I agreed to convert my phone and my wife's phone and the purchase a new phone for my son due to being old. I gave all the info and set up direct pay from my bank. Then gave her my CC number to pay the sales tax and other charges for the one new phone. The charge was $91.xx and was at my bank that afternoon! * They have still not refunded that $91 payment to me! When she finished she had asked me if I wanted the phone in 5-6 days or express in 2 days. The cost was excessive for 2 days so I opted for 5-6 days. At this point she told me to hold for billing since they needed to review my new account in case we missed something. I asked her when I would know the phone was shipped and get a tracking #? She said "you should get an email later today, or early tomorrow with the tracking info". I then spoke to billing. She didn't seem to know what I wanted?? I told her that I was transferred to her as a new account. She then found my info and said everything looked ok and did not seem to know why I was transferred to her in billing??? The next day 3/5 I had no emails or calls so I called The Customer Service number. I was told your people were all busy and I accepted a call back about 15 minutes later just after lunch. I was called by a Gabrielle who stated during the call she was a supervisor? I questioned why I had not gotten an email or contact with a tracking number? She started telling me that your company had up to 5 days to set up and verify my account. When I told her what C/S had told me she was very blunt and said she was not in that department so she didn't know what was said. I admit I was not happy and I pressed her for better answers or an explanation. At that time I asked her to speak to a Manager and she said all she could do was leave a message. When I asked how long that would take and why, i was called " A BULLY"! When I asked why she said that she told me she felt like I was "bullying" her when I kept asking for answers. I saw that I was getting nowhere with this person so I ended the call. Later in the afternoon I spoke to C/S as well as billing and no one could tell me what was going on. I am 75 years old and no one has ever called me a bully - even when I was a Police Officer for 27 years. This was insulting at best. I have good to very good credit and it seemed strange that they could not give me answers. At one point Gabrielle did state that your bank underwriters had to approve people who were getting phones???On Wednesday morning 3/6 I called in again and neither department had answers so I cancelled the account because it was still not set up and the 1 phone was not shipped! As of today late Friday they still have my $91 and no refunds. They emailed I was cancelled on Thursday. Take note on Wednesday 3/6 after work my wife and I went to the local T-Mobile store. One hour later we had our phones transferred, our son's phone in our hands, the easy pay set up, as well as direct billing. ALL of that in one hour!Consumers beware especially seniors with AARP, do not expect any better in my opinion. As stated we have good credit and there was no reason for what happened to us. Verizon would have loved for us to stay for year 25 and T-Mobile sure wanted us! We didn't need this type of unfair sloppy service from Consumer Cellular.

I am especially pleased that the support system is staffed by Americans. I can communicate with them without having to ask them to repeat what they say over and over. That is a huge plus. The staff is always helpful and courteous.

I just wish there were more of an offering of Androids for those of us who can't afford the I-Phones. The customer service reps are all very professional and knowledge. Always give great service.

Matthew from Carlisle store put my phone in Lock Screen I took the phone home but didn't know it I got home waiting till next day to go back in. He said my wife or I did it WE NEVER TOUCHED THE PHONE AND WIFE TRIED TO CALL ME THAT WAS WHEN I FOUND OUT HE SAID IT WAS US. BULL. SH.., NOT VERY HAPPY AT ALL. HAD TO GO TO BEST BUY TO GET THE PHONE FIXED
