"Horrible attitude to customers"

On 12.01.24 at 10:00 wanted to travel from Munich central bus station to Seefeld (route 40). Having only ski with me without any other luggage the driver said that I have to pay 10$ for special luggage to him. For my logical request to provide a receipt or any other written confirmation or recording of the payment he almost threw away all my luggage, stopped talking, and did not allow me to take the bus.Update: contacted customer support afterward and was quite pleased with the way it works: almost zero waiting time; got a refund for the first ticket after providing proof of buying the second one; was promised that the case would be investigated, so increase rating from 1 to 2

"By Flixbus in general"

Possibility to cancel/ change tickets is good.Sometimes No Wlan on board or what's worse broken toilet so that is rather stressful.I ofthen travel with Flixbus, and most of the time, that doesn't happen, but it is not somerhing that you want to experience from time to time.Relative fair prices and flexibility are definately advantages.

"Short Trip"

Short Trip, first experience, Perfect trip when Deutsche Bahn is on strike and easy ride to Dresden, car driving would be more stressful

"Bad experience when traveling with my little daughter"

My husband and I used to travel using Flixbus several times, but I had a horrible experience this time.I live in Greifswald with my children, and we took a trip to Hamburg last Saturday. We departed using the ICE train from Greifswald to Hamburg and chose Flixbus for our journey back home from Hamburg to Greifswald. Two weeks before our trip, my wallet was stolen, and I lost all my ID cards, so I reported this loss to the Police and International office. From my experience, we don't need a passport to travel domestically, so I only brought the police letter and the Fiktionsbescheinigung as a substitute for my lost Aufenthaltstitel. When the bus arrived (directions to Olsztyn, Dworzec), an old lady asked for our tickets along with our passports. I explained to the lady that I lost my ID, so I had this police letter and a substitute document to check our ID in correlation with our booking. However, she said that my documents were not sufficient because crossing the country's borders would require valid passports. Therefore, we had to cancel our ticket. She immediately took her walkie-talkie and informed someone in the office that a woman and a child would come to cancel this journey without listening to my explanations. I told her again that our trip was only to Greifswald and not to Dworzec; why would we need to show our passports? But she said again "No" without listening to me. At that time, my daughter started to cry. I was baffled. It was already in the afternoon, and I didn't know how I would find another means of transportation back to Greifswald. So, I ran as fast as possible to the Flixbus office (the bus would depart in ca. five min.) and explained my situation to the personnel there. A young lady was standing at the counter. I told her we only wanted to travel to Greifswald and that my IDs should be sufficient. She said to me for sure that these documents were enough and I didn't need my passport. She immediately helped me and called the old lady on the bus while accompanying me, running to our almost departing bus. The old lady was already standing beside the front door and suddenly apologized to me for this misunderstanding. She rechecked my daughter's name and welcomed us to enter the bus. When we arrived at our seat (we booked the panorama, the frontmost seat), the driver stared at my coffee cup, and a few minutes later, the coach told me that my coffee was not allowed in there and he threw away my almost full coffee cup to the trash outside. I was no longer in the mood to argue, so I let him do whatever. The most important thing for me was that my daughter and I could go home to Greifswald.I felt that the check-in lady was impolite. Why didn't she check my destination in the first place? I admit I am not German, and I wear a hijab over my head, which perhaps makes us look like illegal immigrants (?) I am a doctoral student here at Uni Greifswald. My only fault is that I didn't bring my passport because I feared losing it again since all my IDs were stolen. However, I'm entirely aware of the traveling rules: Aufenthaltserlaubnis is sufficient for an ID to travel inside Germany, and a passport is only necessary when crossing the country border. This bad experience will make me reconsider choosing Flixbus for my next trip or even recommend it to my friends.

"Trip from Zurich to Genova"

FlixBus arrived punctual in Zurich coming from Germany and continuing for Genova. Lucilly we left a few minutes later than scheduled as I was late and driver waited for me. Stop in Milan was appropriate but public facilities (such as toilette etc) are totally inadequate at San Siro. FlixBus and other Bus companies should put pressure on the City of Milan to improve situation.

"Delays? Good luck."

Just experienced the most ridiculous "gesture of goodwill" - a voucher was given for a huge delay, and I found out that this voucher can only be used for the same departure and destination! And nowhere is this stated - not in the email, not on the website. Is this what Flix constitutes as "goodwill"? Wow. Unbelievable.Update: 19 Feb 2024Finally a response that Flixbus would be accountable - I have "informed via chat" - which chat? Where? I received no follow up. Tough luck. Still not ever stepping into your services again.

"Mixed experience regarding flexibility"

I took the airport transfer to Lyon coming from Grenoble and was in time to get one bus earlier than booked online. On the way to Grenoble that had worked (very nice driver). This time the driver refused ("Sorry, I can not rebook your ticket.") This was ok with me, although I knew he just didn't want to. However, than two French passengers arrived last minute and were accepted to the bus. When I now asked the driver why he can rebook their ticket I got the answer "Sorry, I don't understand." Felt a little unfair. Hence, two states only.
