Working with NBKC on my recent home purchase was excellent from start to finish. I spent a LOT of time calling different loan officers and comparing rates and services. Here's what I appreciated about Beau Langdon at NBKC: 1. He took the time to educate me on my options instead of pushing products or trying to make a sale. It may not be obvious at first, but after talking to a few loan officers, you get a sense of what they are about. Beau was honest and helpful. 2. Beau took every call and answered every question promptly--even the ones that had to come after normal working hours. My realtor stressed the importance of having a responsive loan officer, and was nervous to work with someone who wasn't local. Beau eased every concern by how prompt and available he was, especially when it mattered most. 3. Beau was creative and adaptable. He taught me how to structure a unique deal that was a HUGE benefit to me--and literally no additional cost to either me or the buyer. But it was something my realtor and the seller's agent had never done before, so he patiently walked us all through the process and found creative solutions to help us close in only three weeks (a request of the seller). 4. Lastly, his professionalism extended through the entire process--even after the loan was executed and I had taken possession of the property. I needed help setting up my loan portal and switching to a bimonthly repayment plan, and he was still as patient, helpful, and responsive as ever. 5. Beyond the specific loan officer, I can't recommend NBKC bank enough. Their rates and programs were truly competitive and made good financial sense. There wasn't all the back-and-forth of other banks because there didn't need to be. They knew they were competitive and gave me their best shot up front.
