I enjoyed working with everyone at NBKC Bank. Although my loan originated with a different loan officer, Ryan took over and was always available to answer any questions, helped me close, and get the best interest rate! A true pleasure.

Don't believe most of these reviews because they're clearly forced upon getting a loan.I'm a commercial banking customer and the two months I've had this account has been terrible.I get paid via checks and every time this bank puts a week long hold on my funds. First time, I was told that if I contacted after the check was approved that they would verify the check and release the funds.So, I did that today after my check was approved yesterday. I'm then told that my check is on hold for a week and if I wait 3 business days, they would consider releasing a portion. When I told them what they told me last month, they essentially gave me a list of excuses why checks go on holds and this is for the sake of my security.I believe that as much as I believe in the Easter bunny.Fact is that these people will lie to you about everything and give you every reason to not give you access to your money, while they probably make interest off of all of the funds they hold.

Very unprofessional and incapable of handling simple FHA and conventional real estate deals.....their $5k closing date guarantee is bs. Their one hit wonder headhunting tactics is a perfect example of the bs going on in this country. Jordan Jones is a liar and weasel. Guaranteed closing dates, then couldn't come thru because of the incorrect inspections that he ordered. We were to close on Monday and Sunday night informed us that they needed the third set of bank statements that had already been sent twice before....when in fact he already had them...promised a $5k reimbursement for having to pay another months rent and extra moving cost. Jaylene O'Brien has informed us that we do not qualify because Jordan didn't send that form with the original contract paperwork.We have since been ghosted with no return calls, text, or emails from neither Jordan or Jaylene.They might just be bad apples in the barrel, but I do not recommend this institution at all. Customer service and integrity goes a long way in this world, and they are lacking both.BBB is my next stop

Competitive Rates and Excellent Customer Service. I cannot say enough good things about how easy our NBKC Bank loan officer made it to get our mortgage. In addition to his timely responses to our questions, he set out the time frame for when things needed to be done. We closed on time. I particularly appreciated our loan officer's cheerful disposition. Overall, I would highly recommend this bank.

I am writing as a first time homebuyer and specifically about Jordan Jones of nbkc. I met with 4 lenders and reached out to one other before settling on Jordan. When the other lenders asked why we decided on Jordan, I said because he was lightening fast, proactive in his approach, personable, knowledgeable, and he truly seemed like he was trying to get us the best rate (and we ended up with a fairly decent one during this crazy time). I feel sad for those who don't get to work with Jordan because he really helped make this a painless process. You hear horror stories about lenders online, and I am so, so thankful we don't have one.
