We originally were using a lender suggested from our builder but the lack of communication, response and unwillingness to let us use a VA loan with no escrow led us to NBKC. Jackie took time to explain everything and provide updates real-time. NBKC originally told us that we could get an exemption for the VA loan to not have an escrow and that made it an easy decision to switch. Unfortunately at the last moment, it was determined we could not use a VA without escrow and that was disappointing but wasn't the fault of Jackie. We used a conventional loan (higher rate than VA) but we were able to secure the loan without using an escrow.
