"Terrible customer support"

I purchased 3 books from WOB on 26th March. I cannot fault them for the speed of dispatch/delivery in that they were delivered 2 days later. However, it has all gone horribly wrong since then. Unfortunately my parcel was damaged during delivery and one of the books was missing when I took delivery of it. Royal Mail's policy is that the receiver of a parcel must reach out to the sender in such cases and it is for the sender to follow up with them.I contacted WOB via their contact us section on their website immediately to let them know that there was an issue. Given that it was coming up to Easter I gave them plenty of time to respond. A week later I had heard nothing and so sent another message, again I heard nothing. I attempted to find a phone number for them, which when I tried to call discovered that it was an information only number and not one that connects through to a person.Next I found their direct email address and sent them an email with photos attached on 8/4/24. I finally received a reply on 11/4/24 requesting that I send photos! I replied immediately but to date 17/4/24 I have heard nothing back.This is simply not good enough especially as I am bombarded with email requests from them daily prompting me to review their service. Well I guess i decided that I would.So if you want good cheap second hand books then they are great, but if you have an issue with your order then forget it. Terrible.

After 2 weeks nothing but an email saying it gas been sent. Not really interested once they'd got my 12.99 for a used book which cost 12.99 new. Finally arrived but it was tatty.

The book was not new. It had turned down pages - some 'organic' residue that fell out when I opened the book and someone had taken the quiz and marked their score in biro

I've used WOB before and received good quality books. However the copy of Anne Tyler's Ladder of Years is very scruffy.

"When my book arrived the front cover."

When my book arrived the front cover was very curled up and I've no idea what was on the front cover but it was covered in something brown n dried ..I do realise they are second hand ,and I did pay extra for a better one .was not very happy .I've thrown away .

Received wrong book, contacted Wob. Still no response after 7 days. Terrible service.
