What went wrong was that the driver either did not have my correct phone number or omitted a zero when trying to call me on the day I had booked. My number was obviously correct as I had already received a text regarding the booking. I had to call, waited for many minutes and rebooked to get another appointment. Surely if my correct number was in your system this should not have happened? Allan.

This is about our local Tyre Pros (part of Kwik Fit organisation) who we have used regularly to fix brakes, tyres, batteries etc. They've always been competitive on prices and delivered quick, friendly service (and are closer than the local Kwik Fit). Today I needed to replace a battery urgently that has been letting us down for several weeks meaning frequent jump starts. The cheapest they had in stock was $120 (which I thought was steep) so on the basis they had no cheaper options in stock I reluctantly said yes and they fitted it. I just checked and my local Kwik Fit (other side of town) offers the same battery for $108 while Halfords are $98. And of course the other places will likely have cheaper options available (could this just be a deliberate ploy to not have the cheaper options in stock? - they presumably know that once you drive in with a faulty battery - you're not likely to drive off somewhere else for the sake of $20 or so). It's not a massive price difference but they've always been more competitive versus others. On that basis, I shan't be back in a hurry - I should have checked online before I went for the battery check - I'll know next time.

Refused to repair a Run Flat tyre, from brand new car purchased 2 days prior, with a screw puncture. Apparently Company policy.The Tyre manufacturer states Run Flats can be repaired.Kwik Fit wanted $340 for tyre and fitting. Repair $20 and a $5 tip!Competitors all happy to repair, so Kwik Fit have lost a long term customer.Edit - after receiving reply from Kwik Fit.I really don't understand why KF want to discuss the unwillingness to repair a run flag tyre as this is standard policy with KF.Suffice to say, I've wasted enough time travelling to your garage and trying to get your colleagues to perform the repair, so I won't be engaging further.

KwikFit Bridgend changed my tyres over (winter to summer). As always the guys were professional and efficient. They scheduled the work in the following hour which was kind of them and impressive given that I was a walk in customer. They issued me with a health check on my vehicle, sent by email. Thank you.

The technician identified that the incorrect tyre had been ordered because of the tread pattern. He was able to get me back on the road by repairing the existing tyre permanently.I am waiting for the refund between the cost of the repair and the cost of the tyre.
