"Disappointing Experience with Tempest Photography"

My experience with Tempest Photography was deeply disappointing. I clearly observed a lack of professionalism and a highly unsatisfactory attitude towards the final product. To compound this, they delivered a Christmas decoration with a glaring issue , my child's face was literally cut in half, and their explanation was that they had difficulty adjusting the portrait photo they took themselves! To make matters worse, they sent me the decoration as if it met acceptable standards. And their prices are considerably higher compared to other companies in the market. To top it all off, I'm required to return the product to get a refund, which only adds to the inconvenience. Tempest Photography needs significant improvements in their services moving forward.

I have had 3 children go through nursery/primary and secondary. The prices are just getting too expensive. They always have been pricey and I'm unsure as to why schools use this company but they have. If Tempest would lower prices I'd get more photos. Also the 'deal' for multiple photo's including accessories WOW complete rip off, obviously money over custom appreciation is their motto. Also try getting through to them on the phone, hilarious if you know you know!!!! Fsake!!!

"Low quality, high price"

I'd only ever bought school photos once before, when my daughters were still at primary. Tellingly, that was the only occasion that Tempest Photography wasn't involved. This year I relented after requests from family members who wanted more up to date shots now they're both at high school. Tempest provides a minuscule thumbnail to preview before placing an order via the school which at a cursory glance looked ok. But when the order arrived I couldn't believe how poor the quality & image was. My pale skinned girls were made to look almost orange because the lighting was so bad. They also always insist on sitting kids in the same uniform unnatural pose which just looks odd and the cheap print quality results in an image that can only be described as far from a crisp. In fact the photos were so poor they've been chucked in a drawer and I had some photos I'd taken on my phone printed via Photobox to give to relatives instead. I'd be mortified to hand the Tempest ones out. The diy option cost a third of the price and offered a much truer image. I understand with corporates it's a case of just getting through the numbers but for the prices they're charging they really should be better than this. It just feels like they're exploiting parents by fobbing them off with inferior service. I honestly have no idea why schools insist on using them when there must be thousands of local studios who could provide a far superior product. I can only assume there's a financial kick back. To add insult to injury they're now emailing me constantly asking if I want more copies to give as Christmas gifts! Anyway, lesson learned, they'll put my kids through the motions again next year and the rest but I'll never buy from them again.

I am very happy with my purchase, even more so given the discount promotion that was on offer, thank you.

It is easy to order etc but the prices are a disgrace. P5 postage as well.I only ordered as my son is in his final year so I have one from the start and the end.The picture isn't the best either to be honest.
