We are new to the area and wanted to find a credit union. So we found Great Basin to set up accounts here. We visited the branch in Sparks and were able to work with a person who helped us walk through the process. I have also had the opportunity to phone the branch with in issue that I needed help with and that was a good experience as well.

Upon initially joining GBFC all was great. But a couple of things ticked me off as time progressed. I ordered my checks through GBFC and was told they would be mailed to me in two weeks. It has now been 6 weeks and still no checks. I have gone into your Spanish Springs branch looking for the person who helped me (May, I think) never to see her. At week 3, I went in and inquired and still no checks. I am a rancher who lives an hour away from the S.S. branch and I am 73 years old. I can't be traveling that far several times a week. And to complicate matters, that office is not open on Saturdays, even for a half day. It is a relatively small thing but important.
