The process for refinancing a vehicle when you move here from out of state is a nightmare. After almost 2 months of waiting and hours on the phone with gm financial and the Nevada DMV I took the DMV s advise and went to a different credit union. Had my truck refinanced in less than a week

I recently opened an additional account and the service was stellar! I just tore my office apart looking for the young man's name who helped Me! I can't find it and I always write down a name. I'm guessing it was John or Dan? This gentleman needs recognition for His patience and ability to explain things in a perspective anyone could understand. His follow through and attention to detail is what is missing in way too many business's today. He also explained to Me the method of what I will be encountering when I purchase/select an online digital Stock Platform, most helpful Person I have had the pleasure of doing business with. Perhaps the most important thing to me is that I've never been sent on some time- devouring, wild goose chase because someone at Great Basin either gave me the wrong info or didn't feel like doing their job. Big thumbs up to the staff at This company! Oh, AND these guys were the ONLY bank to approve the loan for my dream truck!!! ? Thank you Great Basin!

"Over all love the banking experience"

Over all love the banking experience. The only item I find annoying is that when I only need to make a quick deposit, which is usually the case, all of the tellers have customers with problems or perhaps setting up new accounts which do need the time spent with them, but there should be a system for bankers like me. It seems in the past or at least at other banks customers with bigger needs are working with someone other then a front line teller. With that said all the staff at Great Basin are always kind and efficent. Good job with your HR dept.

When I make my choice regarding with whom I do business, friendliness coupled with genuine caring for Customers is equally as important to me as the knowledge and professionalism required to please clients as exacting and demanding as I am. I used the Northwest Branch more than usual about 6 months ago. People were helpful, asking questions of each other so that they could resolve issues as they arose. I went there today too for more routine business, and I had no problem.

We went to another credit union to open an account anddeposit a large check. At first we were basically ignored and then told to come back the next day. Our daughter recommended Great Basin CU and we were greeted and taken care of. A world of difference.

"Sluggish loan process"

Sluggish loan process, makes using cu for purchase clumsy. I really dislike the "if you get a better offer, we will beat it gimmick." Just give me the best rate you can. Hard credit checks to find rate for are not conducive to maintaining good credit standing. Overall not very competitive.
