"Pathetic customer service"

Pathetic customer service. I got in touch regarding a privacy question and the agent Samuel misunderstood and deleted my entire account whilst I was on a free trial period. No one has got back to me regarding my query to open my account. Not best pleased

"Why does your free 1 month trial start."

Why does your free 1 month trial start on the day of purchase when you have not received any of the genetic Information? By the time I receive my results I'm going to have to pay $150? This is lunacy. I'm regretting my purchase.

I made a complaint. I was then told time after time a process I should do; I repeatedly said it had been done years ago and it is still working until this recent issue. I wanted to know what went wrong . I was still told to do this same process. Like its still robotic. I have no confidence it will not happen again. The issue was swept entirely under the carpet.

Please be careful with this company. They are scammers. They get you to sign up for some small amount and then they spam you with emails, slide in an auto renewal for several hundred dollars and had it not been for PayPal, I may never have noticed. Now they are trying to make it incredibly difficult to get a refund by claiming I have to be available to speak with someone from the review department when they have looked at my case.

I HAVE BEEN CHARGED TWICE within a period of 9 days or so! The first charge was $199 in October 2023. The second charge to my bank account was $200 November 4, 2023. I had requested the Premium Plus Package. I contacted an agent around Thanksgiving to ask why two charges. I was told that My Heritage only shows 1 purchase; my bank account says otherwise. I have sent two emails and have tried the robot which leads me around in circles. WHAT I WANT is THIS - WHY 2 different charges. My account even shows that only one thing was charged but every time I call I go around in a circle in the call queue. HELP!!!!

When using the My Heritage site, one is presented with a considerable amount of information. To extract the most from the information provided, devoting time is essential. There is a lot of relevant information to sort through. So what you gain is up to you. This site is better than I expected.

I didn't use the service and bought wrong but the company charged $200 and not accepted refund it.

"Took money after I cancelled!"

After signing up for the "free trial" my email account was somehow locked out of the system preventing password reset OR loggin. I emailed to ask them to cancel my account and advised them of the error - this was not done. They unlocked my account it AFTER they took the money - preventing me from cancelling myself. Have reported to Paypal and will take further action if this is not resolved ASAP.They are now offering me a 40% discount on the money back! Which is terrible service considering I asked for a cancellation in writing. I have not used the service either!Update they have refunded the full amount

"Jewish?"

I sent off the DNA sample weeks and weeks ago.I heard nothing and didn't see anything until last week when I was asked to look at my results.No email to tell me to look and see what the results meant. And how can someone decide that people have Jewish blood in their DNA??? Being a Jew is a religion - NOT a place.
