"MyHeritage is scamming you with a yearly subscription"

MyHeritage subscribes you, unbeknownst to you, to an extra service that is "free" the first month - then you suddensly get charged $114 for the next year. Looking at the many reviews (of which you can tell the positive ones are mostly fake) this is a common scam they are running. Not only have they not provided the service I actually paid for (DNA test - my partners kit has arrived and been tested weeks ago whilst mine, sent at the same time, hasn't even arrived yet according to them) - They have subscribed me to a yearly "service" of essentially useless family trees. Keep well clear of this company if you're interested in DNA testing. I have written over 10 emails, have been promised a call back twice - the call back never came and all they offered is a partial 40% refund for a service I never wanted or used. There are lots of alternatives out there - and I'll already predict their reply to this review. As with everyone else they will tell me to write them an email. I have done so 10 times already and still haven't received a penny. Also: for anyone doing their research on whether to go for this company - look for the reviews marked as "invited" - these are usually the ones MyHeritage has invited for a review for some sort of incentive. They can't be counted on as actual customer experience.

It took ages for the DNA packs to arrive to us. when the were sent back it took over 40 days for the process to start but my husband's returned kit was lost, a new one was sent out. This has been going on since December. The replacement pack has been sent back ..

I've got the dna kit however it's useless I'm 16 and read that I can do it with parental consent I got that and put it in the app and it won't let me activate my dna kit because I'm not 18 so watch out for that

Disgusting. You people have too much money to be having this type of business and poor website experience. I have made complaints on this site and I'm not done. My family and I just wanted a couple of dna kits and what should have been a pleasant purchase ended up with serious legal issues with the company and your site. I could not even submit a call back, email, or simply talk to someone. It signed me up for things I didn't want and not I just want my money back. It's been an hour I've been online just trying to speak to someone about this. This is absolutely ridiculous!!

They are very good at replying to complaints, telling everyone that they are very east to contact. Phone helpline, email and chat bot. In reality they are almost impossible to contact, you try to find a phone number or an email address on there website and you'll always come up short. There chat bot just sends you round in circles just give them a wide birth and look for you heritage elsewhere. Trust me.
