"When my wife's and my 1099s had not."

When my wife's and my 1099s had not arrived as of yesterday 3/13 - notwithstanding a 2/23 call to Customer Assistance requesting that substitute 1099s be sent (which I was subsequently advised were deposited with USPS on 2/23) I despaired of the USPS route and called Customer Service on 3/12 and spoke with Ian who was very helpful and downloaded the 1099s. However, the Microsoft code did not work for us on two tries with different numbers, so yesterday I called Customer Service again and spoke with Emma who was also very helpful, posting the 1099s on our accounts on the portal where we were finally able to download them. So, both Ian and Emma very very professional and helpful. BUT, getting to talk with them was an ordeal going through recorded messages urging us to leave a VMM or requesting a call back. This was on the heels of my having to call Customer Service two weeks ago on an unrelated problem where I had to hold for 25 minutes of recorded messages and near unbearable annoying piano pounding (NOT music) clearly designed to discourage the caller from holding for a live voice. NBKC needs to hire additional competent customer service personnel before customers take their business elsewhere. The days where NBKC customers can brag that they get to talk to live voices at their bank appear to be a thing of the past. Prove me wrong. Hire additional personnel! Harlan Burkhead
