"Applied for a personal loan"

Applied for a personal loan. they wanted to know what I was going to use it for. It is a personal loan so not really their business but ok. I told them I wanted to do a little debt consolidation with it. Then they wanted to control the distribution of the loan ? then they wanted to ruin my credit by canceling my best credit card. It's not like I have not been banking here over 2 decades. it's not like I have not had a personal loan with them before which I paid off early. Lucky for me I in no way needed the money it was just something I was thinking about doing. When they offered me about 3/4 of what I asked about I told them Thank you but No Thanks I will either wait another 7 months and do it with out your help or take my business elsewhere.
