Very professional, good customer care. Local, personal attention. Ethical. Lower fees than the banks who I would rather not support post 2008. I have used other local credit unions had negative experiences that reminded me of some of the banks I had used in the past, but Great Basin has always delivered.

closing branches for days around ANY. holidays is ridiculous. Those of us that have direct deposit sometimes wait up to 3 days for the deposit to show into our accounts. Although any withdrawal from accounts shows up immediately. If it wasn't such a hassle to switch to another bank I would.

Having banked at many of the big name banks as well as other credit unions over my lifetime, I have had the opportunity to compare. That said, This company is hands-down THE BEST! It starts with the atmosphere at the branch offices where the staff is professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. In additional, there is such a willingness to help from everyone I've ever encountered--they just make everything easy. I like the products that This company offers and the rates are comparable or better to other financial institutions. Considering all my transactions and interactions at This company over the years, I can honestly say that I have complete confidence in This company and it's staff!

"I had fraud on my bank card"

I had fraud on my bank card, the south Reno branch acted as if I was lying to them. I still have never gotten a resolution to the problem. If I did not have my loans through them I would change banks in a heartbeat. The sparks location is definitely the best one as they listen and do what they say. Needless to say I will drive out of my way to go to the Sparks location for any banking needs.
