"Godaddy vs Hostinger - my experience"
After more than 15 years, I moved all of my stuff from Godaddy to Hostinger. I am so glad that I did. In recent years, Godaddy has seemed to be declining. Most recently, I found that the chat support is no longer supported. They still have it listed as a thing on their contact page but there is no link. They claim to have support via text... so I texted. 2 days later, still no reply. Help articles are so outdated and referring to old systems that is no longer available or applicable at GoDaddy. I received a renewal notice and... I just couldn't deal with them any longer. Did some shopping and digging into various hosting companies. Hostinger kept coming out on top and so, I made the switch. I was expecting it to take a few days. It didn't even take a few hours. The help articles (so far) have been current and... real. live. chat support!! A real human being jumped on the chat and had an issue (that I created all by myself) cleared up in no time! So far, I am thrilled with Hostinger.

I switched from Ipage/blue host after 6 years with them. I have been very happy with the switch. Customer service is top notch, web builder with AI text/picture making is awesome.

"I thought Hostinger was amazing until..."
I had a recent interaction with Caio re email, and that was really great. I would have left a superb rating on Hostinger prior to today, however. In reviewing my account today I learned that I'd been billed twice when setting up my Hostinger domain and Business Web Hosting in September of 2023 (6 most ago) when I switched from my prior website host. When I contacted support I was told I would not get a refund, even though it is clear this was some sort of issue on Hostinger's side. I requested this issue be escalated and am waiting to hear if it will be resolved. The two charges were done at the same time, yet only one business web was created and only one domain. The second one has just been sitting there for 6 months without me even knowing a double charge had occurred - a second site hasn't been developed or used. Additionally, I've recently learned that my emails have often gone to spam folders or do not get delivered at all. As a Mental Health Therapist that is problematic. Hopefully Caio was able to resolve that today, and it didn't require much work on my part at all. Caio was great to work with. If Hostinger does the right thing and refunds the charge, and if my emails start getting delivered then I would be rating it 5+ stars. I just can't give an overall rating based off of my interaction today and without knowing how the billing complaint will be handled or if the email issue has been fixed. Only time will tell. I'd be happy to come back and rate again once things are fixed.

Great customer service, Luciene was super helpful and supported me in solving all the issues I had. The help centre had some gaps around DNS settings for sites built with Website Builder, but the customer service managed to navigate through the resolution.
