Let us clarify some moments that, we hope, will give an idea of what happened.Terminal Wallet is a decentralized app, which means that users don't have any accounts, we don't store any of your private data. All your private and public keys are genefrom a 12-word backup phrase when you first create the wallet. This data (your keys and backup phrase) is stored locally on your device in an encrypted way. We always warn our customers, that, like for any other similar-working wallet, your 12-word backup is your key to your assets no matter what. Now, if you change your device or you will lose the password, you can always restore your wallet with the 12-word phrase. But nobody has your password and backup phrase, except you.That is what was meant to say by our support stating that users are responsible to save the phrase and password correctly, we won't be able to give it back if lost.Our support was tracking your transactions on the blockchain. Blockchain is an open protocol and anybody can access it through block explorers. We don't have any other data about your account except the one that you provide to us (like your address). We are sorry to say it, but if your password is incorrect and your 12-word phrase is not leading to the correct wallet (meaning it is also incorrect), we are not able to retrieve your funds. When upgrading from our 1.x.x versions to 2.x.x versions users must perform a restore, as it was a major update and a new core. We always warn to save backup phrase on paper in two different places no matter what.Terminal Wallet Team.
