"I can breathe again !"

I'm hoping now I can finally say my life in changing. I was the usual story, using debt to pay debt which the results in more debt. Payments so high I didn't have any money left to myself. The result? More debt. I finally had the courage to bite the bullet and give trust deed Scotland a call. I know they're good, I've heard it enough times and so will anyone who's reading these reviews. But the whole experience from start to finish was unlike anything I imagined (or feared). I was expecting to be judged and interrogated and result in very little, my typical "expect the worst" approach to things these days. Upon calling trust deed Scotland, I was first put through to Andy who ran through a few basic things with me and then passed me onto Val. Val has stuck with the case from assessment to proposal. She was always very friendly to talk to on the phone, zero judgement for my silly decisions at any point and even helped me to understand my own financial decision better by asking questions I never really thought about due to being so fried from the whole situation. Val was constantly reassuring throughout the process and I'm happy to say that I'm now at the point of waiting to see if the deed is accepted. I'm literally weeks from my life changing once and for all and I couldn't thank Andy and Val enough for everything they have done so far. Fingers crossed now, will update in due course. At the time of entering my trust deed I was suicidal and had been diagnosed with PTSD,I was at rock bottom and had accumulated a large amount of debt through my circumstances. There really didn't feel like any hope or that there was a way to manage my situation. Entering a trust deed with Harper McDermott has completely changed my life. Over a four year period I have interacted with many members of staff regarding my trust deed and they were all, without exception, non judgemental, empathetic, kind and supportive throughout my journey. This made a world of difference to me and I cannot thank them enough. There is so much stigma surrounding debt, and fear around dealing with it. My trust deed has just come to an end, when I started it I literally had nothing. I have been plagued with debt for what feels like my whole life. Several times in my life I've been made redundant or was long term out of work with illness and had been forced to live on my credit just to survive.The worst happened just 2 years ago after losing my job of 12 years and suddenly finding myself with crippling debt and no way to pay it off. I only had$34 per month from the government to help with my rent and all my bills before even considering how else I was going to eat.
