"Absolutely dire, what happened?"
I haven't had a subscription for five years, and somehow, it has gotten far worse. The site is alot of hard work, you can't accept changes in bulk. It's a pain to only be able to check 60 pages at a time and the corrections keep reloading. The app is in desperate need of User centred design, can't believe there has been anything in the way of UAT because end users must pull their hair out with the experience. The suggestions themselves are really helpful, it's just extremely time consuming to accept them and navigate through.

"I feel more confident writing letters."
I feel more confident writing letters and spelling words correctly. My grammar and spelling are not good and my boss is happy that I found Grammarly, plus it is teaching me the correct way to properly add English words and spelling correctly.

"Charged me 144 dollars after I cancelled my free trial of premium 3 MONTH AGO"
I subscribed for free and used it for years. I then took the free trial for premium, used it for one night to check for plagiarism, and then the next day cancelled my trial and premium membership(with a confirmation email). They charged me a month later for an annual fee of 144 dollars, which I disputed as I had my confirmation letters from both days. Now 4 months later, Grammarly says I never cancelled it and they kept the 144 dollars. F this program, you guys suck.

"Grammarly is not perfect but close to it."
The majority of the time I am very satisfied with the suggestions for spelling, comma usage, and conciseness. However, there are exceptions. I don't always agree with certain suggestions concerning the use of commas. Grammarly consistently removes the comma setting off direct address. I consistently ignore that suggestion. Example: What do you think about that, George? Without the comma, the sentence means something different: What do you think about that George? Grammarly is very good at catching unnecessary adverbs such as 'really' and 'very.' There are numerous other adverbs, but those two are the ones I overuse the most. Grammarly is also excellent at finding missing words. I appreciate that feature since I tend to type faster than I keep track of my sentence, so I sometimes leave out words. infrequently Grammarly will suggest rewriting a sentence to improve its clarity and conciseness. I usually accept these suggestions and appreciate how they improve my writing. To summarize, Grammarly is not perfect but is close to it.
